Events

An important part of the activities of the Martti Ahtisaari Institute of Global Business and Economics is to facilitate open discussion on current issues related to business and economics and the society at large. To this end, the Institute organises different types of events that allow for dialogue, networking and collaboration among various stakeholders.

Top Forums dealing with current societal issues are organised on an annual basis. Northern Finland decision-makers and local residents are invited to participate in discussion forums with renowned experts in the fields of business, academia and politics.

Further, the Institute organises expert seminars dealing with specific topics related to economics and business.

An important aim of the Institute is to enhance business life cooperation in Oulu Business School. In order to achieve this goal, annual matchmaking events are organised to allow for students and company representatives to discuss possible forms of cooperation.
